Hello, I am Charis
It is a pleasure to be known.

Mission and Vision
My mission as a death doula and bodyworker specializing in embodied grief is to offer compassionate support to individuals, families, and care teams navigating the profound transitions of life and death. I aim to honor the sacredness of each person’s journey by providing holistic care that integrates the physical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of grief. Through bodywork, mindfulness, and ritual, I create a safe, healing space for expressing grief, finding peace, and cultivating a deep connection to the cycles of life and death. My work is rooted in empathy, presence, and reverence, empowering individuals to move through grief with grace, acceptance, and embodied healing.
My vision is to provide compassionate, personalized support for terminally-ill individuals, their chosen families, and care team through the end-of-life journey by offering personal attention, care and resources before, during, and after the transition wherever in the nation I am needed. I strive to create a brave space for grieving families, fostering healing with ongoing assistance in the months that follow. Through community outreach, speaking engagements, and educational content, I aim to break the silence around death, normalize conversations about grief, and empower individuals and communities to navigate loss with dignity and love.
Skills and Goals
I specialize in Swedish massage, oncology massage, palliative massage, dementia-informed massage, destination massage, hot stone massage, and grief-informed massage. I am deeply passionate for Trauma Touch TherapyTM, End-of-Life rituals and ceremonies, and Legacy projects.

I look forward to deepening my compassionate touch and presence by pursuing certifications in Cranial-Sacral Therapy through Upledger Institute, Hospital-based massage therapy through Healwell, Manual Lymphatic Drainage though KLOSE, and Deathcare through INELDA, NEDA, and La Mort Society. I intend to be a traveling au pair of passing, knowledgeable and experienced, bearing witness to the unbearable.
